Why choose Sauce?

We make it easy for you to build a high-performing remote sales team from South Africa, without the usual hiring headaches.

Proven expertise

Our co-founder is originally from South Africa and has personally recruited hundreds of professionals from the region. We know the market, understand the talent, and have people on the ground to support on-boarding and retention.

End-to-end solution

We handle the full process: sourcing, vetting, hiring, on-boarding, HR, payroll, performance tracking, and fast replacements when needed. You stay focused on sales goals, and we take care of the rest.

Retention-focused structure

Our unique incentive model is designed to keep reps in their roles for at least 12 months. We align their motivation with client success, so they’re committed to delivering results over the long term.

Sales accountability

We don’t just place people - we help you meet your sales goals. We work with you to make sure reps stay on track with your goals, meet sales targets, and grow with your business.

In short: we find the right people, keep them performing, and make sure you don’t have to worry about the details.

How does Sauce work?

We handle the entire hiring and HR process so you don’t have to. Here’s how it works:

1. Discovery call

We start with a short call to understand your business, your sales goals, and the type of rep you need (e.g., prospecting, cold calling, closing).

2. Matching & on-boarding

Based on your needs, we match you with a vetted, trained sales rep from our internal talent pool (the Sauce Sales Club). These reps have already sold for our agency, so they’re ready to hit the ground running. No interviews or CVs required.

3. Ongoing support

We take care of contracts, payroll, HR, training, and performance reviews. If you ever need a replacement, we’ll handle it quickly -usually within a few days.

The monthly fee includes:

  • Full-time embedded rep (includes salary + commission)
  • Ongoing HR and performance management
  • Fast replacement, if needed

You get a sales rep who’s ready to work, and we handle everything else.

What’s the monthly cost?

Our full-service model starts from £1,900 / $2,500 per SDR / per month. This includes:

  • The sales rep’s full-time salary and commission
  • A dedicated Sauce account manager
  • Recruitment, on-boarding, and training
  • HR management, payroll, and performance reviews
  • Fast replacement, if needed

Sales roles with broader responsibilities - such as full-cycle sales (from lead generation to closing), managing a team of 5 or more reps, or bringing 10+ years of senior sales experience - typically cost around £2,300 / $3,000 per month, including commissions.

Alternatively, if you prefer a recruitment-only option, we charge a one-off fee of £1,900 / $2,500 per rep. In this case, we source candidates for you to interview, and you manage the process from there. Our 90-day replacement guarantee still applies.

What sales roles can I hire for?

At Sauce, we place trained, experienced sales professionals who can support your business in different ways: whether you need someone to handle a specific task or build out a full remote sales function.

We offer two main categories of roles:

1. Task-Focused Sales Support

Ideal for businesses looking to fill a specific part of the sales process. These reps are hands-on and execution-focused.

Note: we only place reps with at least 3 years of experience, even for task-based roles.

Common tasks include:

  • Prospecting: Researching and identifying potential leads
  • Cold Calling: Outbound calls to generate interest and book meetings
  • Outreach: Engaging leads via email, LinkedIn, and social media
  • Qualification: Assessing leads for fit, budget, and intent
  • Follow-up & Nurture: Keeping warm leads engaged
  • Closing: Running demos, handling objections, and closing deals

You can hire for one of these functions or a full-cycle sales rep who handles the entire process.

2. Strategic & Senior Sales Roles

If you're building or expanding a remote sales team, we can place more senior talent to help lead, scale, and optimise your sales operations.

Here are some examples:

  • Account Executive (AE): For full-cycle sales, demos, negotiation, and closing
  • Sales Team Lead / SDR Manager: To coach and manage SDR/AE teams, track performance
  • Account Manager / Customer Success Manager: For managing existing clients, renewals, and upsells
  • Sales Enablement Manager: To create training, playbooks, and to support team effectiveness
  • Business Development Manager (BDM): For building partnerships, entering new markets, and securing large accounts
  • Sales Operations Manager: To manage CRM, reporting, build sales systems and processes, and to provide forecasting

Whether you need focused support or experienced leadership, we’ll match you with a rep who fits the role and your sales goals.

Is the sales rep like a full-time team member?

Yes. We only recruit full-time, dedicated sales reps who are fully embedded in your business and committed to your goals, just like any in-house employee.

In fact, full-time remote sales reps often outperform part-time or freelance alternatives. They're easier to train, more consistent in communication, and fully aligned with your systems, team rhythm, and targets. With the right structure, managing remote staff is no harder than managing in-office staff, and the payoff is a motivated, cost-effective team member focused entirely on your sales outcomes.

What's the Sales Club?

The Sales Club is our internal talent pool of pre-vetted, trained sales reps and managers.

Every SDR/BDM in the Sales Club:

  • Has been personally screened and vetted by our team
  • Has sold for our own company, so we’ve seen them perform first-hand
  • Is trained, tested, and ready to start immediately

No interviews, no CV reviews, no back-and-forth.

If you need a new rep, we can place one within a few days.

If you need a replacement, we handle it fast - often before it becomes a problem.

What’s in the contract?

Our Terms of Service (T&Cs)

This section outlines the terms under which Sauce provides sales staffing services to clients.

1. Scope of Service

Sauce provides full-time, remote sales representatives sourced from South Africa, including recruitment, onboarding, HR management, payroll, and performance oversight.

Clients may choose between:

  • Full-Service Subscription - monthly fee including end-to-end service
  • Recruitment-Only - one-off fee for sourcing candidates

2. Employment Model

Although sales reps are employed or contracted by Sauce, not by the client, they are fully embedded in the client's team without being considered direct employees.

The client manages day-to-day work direction; Sauce manages compliance, HR, and replacements.

3. Probation Period and Termination

All hires include a 3-month probation period.

  • During probation: either party may terminate with 14 days’ notice.
  • After probation: 1 month's notice is required to terminate the service.

Early termination does not relieve the client of outstanding payments due during the notice period.

4. Replacement Guarantee

All full-service subscriptions include a lifetime replacement guarantee. If a rep leaves or is not a fit, Sauce will provide a replacement at no extra cost.

The Recruitment-Only service includes a 90-day candidate replacement guarantee.

5. Fees and Payment Terms

Monthly fees are billed in advance and cover:

  • Sales rep salary and commission
  • HR, payroll, on-boarding, and performance management
  • Account management and replacements

Recruitment-only clients are charged a one-time fee of £1,900 / $2,500 per hire.

Please note that late payments may incur penalties or service suspension.

6. Confidentiality

Both parties agree to keep proprietary and confidential information secure and not disclose it to third parties.

7. Non-Solicitation / Buyout Option

Clients may not solicit or directly hire a Sauce rep during the engagement and for 12 months after termination, unless:

A buyout fee of $10,000 is paid. This protects Sauce’s investment in training, vetting, and retaining top talent.

8. Time Off and Annual Leave

Sales reps are entitled to South Africa's standard leave:

  • 15 days paid annual leave
  • Sick leave as per SA Labour Law
  • Maternity/paternity/adoption leave (mostly unpaid, unless contractually extended)

Sauce manages leave requests and communicates with clients regarding availability.

9. Client Responsibilities

Clients agree to:

  • Provide clear on-boarding instructions, sales targets, delivery expectations, data on effective sales process previously performed internally or externally, and daily direction
  • Include Sauce in any performance concerns early
  • Not bypass Sauce to engage reps directly

10. Limitation of Liability

Sauce is not liable for:

  • Direct or indirect business losses caused by the performance of a sales rep
  • Any tax, employment, or legal obligations of the client in jurisdictions outside South Africa

11. Amendments and Governing Law

Sauce reserves the right to amend these terms with 30 days’ notice.

This agreement is governed by the laws of Mauritius.

How do I cancel the contract?

You can cancel your contract and subscription with us at any point. Here are the options:

1. During the Probation Period

The first 3 months of the engagement is considered a probationary period.

During this time, either party may terminate the agreement with 14 days’ written notice, with no penalty other than payment for work completed up to the termination date.

2. After the Probation Period

After the probation period, either party may terminate the agreement with one month's written notice.

The client remains responsible for all fees due during the notice period, regardless of whether the sales rep continues to work during this time.

3. Early Exit Fee

After the 3-month probation period, you can cancel your contract with 1 month's written notice.

If you need to exit sooner, you can request early termination by paying an early exit fee equal to 1 month’s service fee. This helps us cover staffing and operational costs and ensures a smooth transition for everyone involved.

4. Immediate Termination (With Cause)

Either party may terminate the agreement immediately in the event of:

  • A material breach that is not resolved within 14 days of written notice
  • Misconduct, fraud, or behaviour that violates employment or compliance standards

How does time off work (annual leave, sickness)?

South African labour law provides the following standard leave entitlements:

Annual Leave: Minimum of 15 working days of paid leave per year.

Sick Leave: Employees are entitled to paid sick leave equal to the number of days they’d work in a six-week period, over a 3-year cycle. Specific policies may vary slightly by company.

Maternity Leave: Up to 4 consecutive months of unpaid maternity leave. Some contracts may offer paid or extended leave.

Paternity Leave: A minimum of 10 days unpaid leave for new fathers.

Adoption Leave: If adopting a child under 2 years old, the primary caregiver is entitled to at least 10 weeks of adoption leave—starting either when the adoption is granted or the child is placed in their care.

These are statutory minimums. Some employers may offer more generous terms through individual contracts.

What if the rep isn’t a great fit?

Although with our subscription model this almost never happens, if your sales rep isn’t working out within the first 90 days, just let us know, and we’ll find you a replacement at no extra cost.

This guarantee applies whether you’re using our full-service solution or recruitment-only option. We’ll handle the process quickly, so there’s minimal disruption to your sales efforts.

Do I need to give notice?

Yes. Our employment contracts include a three-month probation period. During this time, either party can end the contract with minimal written notice.

After the probation period, the contract can be terminated with 1 month's notice.

If you're using our full-service subscription, it includes a lifetime candidate replacement guarantee, so if a rep leaves or isn't the right fit at any point, we’ll find a replacement at no extra cost within days.

Can I swap out my sales rep?

Yes. If your sales rep isn’t the right fit, for any reason, you can request a replacement.

If you're on our subscription service:

  • We’ll place a new rep from our Sales Club, usually within a few days.
  • There’s no additional cost for the replacement.
  • You can request a swap at any time. During the probation period (first 3 months), minimal notice is required. After probation, we ask for 1 month’s notice.

If you're using our recruitment-only service:

  • You’re covered by our 90-day replacement guarantee.
  • If the rep isn’t a fit, you can request a replacement with 14 days’ written notice during the first 90 days.
  • Replacements are free of charge, provided there’s a valid reason.

Our goal is to make sure you have someone who delivers and fits your team.

What time zones do your reps cover?

South Africa operates on UTC+02:00 (GMT+2), which aligns well with many key regions:

  • UK - 1 to 2 hours ahead (no daylight saving in SA)
  • Europe - Same time zone as countries like France, Germany, and Spain
  • Middle East - 1 to 2 hours behind UAE and KSA
  • North America - 6 hours ahead of Eastern Time, 9 hours ahead of Pacific Time
  • Latin America - Similar to EST (6 hours ahead)

This makes South African reps a great fit for:

  • UK & European teams needing full overlap
  • US-based companies wanting work done overnight and synced check-ins in the morning
  • Global teams working across multiple time zones

Reps can be scheduled to match your working hours where needed.
